Rob Bresser’s Drink of the Month – May 2007

In honor of one of my very favorite holidays, Cinco de Mayo, this month’s drink is a two parter.

Part One:

“Una cervesa mas fina,” or, “A very fine beer,” is the propaganda written on the bottle. Tasty with a wedge of lime or alone. Nothing better when sitting in the hot sun! In the sand, in your yard, hiding under your bed, or on your couch; Corona will quench your thirst and help you forget that all of your friends secretly hate you. Really, they do. Now drink!

Part Two:

Made from the blue agave plant found only in a specific region of Mexico, tequila is a very rich and special drink that has the unholy power of making people who drink experience the strong, overwhelming desire to run around naked. It can be used in a variety of ways, but my personal favorite is the straight shot with salt and lime. My mouth is watering right now. Look away….

Margerita, tequila sunrise, or even last months drink (The Mojo), you won’t be disappointed with the effects of tequila. At least not until the next morning, anyway.
